Koji Kondo

The ultimate tribute to the ultimate video game's ultimate theme song:

Super Mario Bros.

fucking geeks...

Shame on me

Never went on to learn guitar because my fingers were allegedly too fat

"You're not my friend" he says...

You know how some very annoying people gets to spend a couple days with you and then starts calling you a friend after?

I kinda do that sometimes.

So now that I am blame free thanks to the strategics of the most effective and comfortable selfcriticism, allow me to introduce you to my two bestest friends ever:

Wake up

Speaking of free speech:

"A good friend of ours said that if the same laws were applied to U.S. presidents as were applied to the nazis after World War II that every single one of them, every last rich white one of them, from Truman on would've been hung to death and shot. And this current administration is no exception. They should be hung and tried and shot... as any war criminal should be.
But the challenges that we face they go way beyond administrations, way beyond elections, way beyond every four years of pulling levers, way beyond that... because this whole rotten system has become so viciously cruel that in order to sustain itself it needs to destroy entire countries and profit from their reconstruction in order to survive. thats not a system that changes every 4 years, its a system that we have to break down generation after generation after generation after generation...
Wake up."

Plymptoons

The ability to animate drawings is equivalent to freedom of speech to some artists.
Now, free speech + animation is everything to everyone.
Enjoy the grotesque beauty of this.

The great dictator

It's when no one is expecting it
- but everyone needs it -
that the quiet ones speak.
And words start to flow, as they penetrate the ever-growing immense pupils of the attendees eluding the reflective eardrums of "those who don't want to hear".

No one can tell the mute to shut up,
- it just wouldn't make any sense -
and you'd be making a fool of yourself.

JACO by Me

It's always really discouraging when awesome naturally talented individuals admit to have gotten where they are now through hard work.

Why can't gifted people just pick up a brush, drum stick or dance shoes and be able to show the world about their sweetness right away? without having to go through the annoying and tight filter that is discipline...

I mean, come on! This is the 21st century already, and we all want our promised 15 minutes of fame Mr. Warhol!
I have no time to waste on myself here...

DVNO by So Me

Music is OK
Video is glory

Key to Reserva

Some people is really irritating.
There's nothing I envy more than people who makes a living out of what they find so fun making, fully enjoying it as they're not even altering the result a little.

Martin Scorsese did just that again here.
With a lot of class I gotta say.
And I have the proofs right here:

Bozo Texino

You know how some people never recommends shit to you like they're too good to put themselves in the spot like that? They just live their life, drink it viciously, sink in its awesomeness, that they won't even try to hide for a second.

I am one of them.

I would never recommend a place to visit to anyone, or a band to check out and - hell no - introduce two friends to one another: I mean, what if it all goes wrong and I'm given the looks forever after?
Fuck that shit, I ain't biting.

So I rather stay ethereal to my surroundings and enjoy what I built/collected myself.
What? You ever thought I was into charity or some here?
Nah, this is me organizing my mental library for my own sake, so when I need what I offer I know where to get it.

Ok, nevermind this.
Watch this movie, it's really good:

I know, you owe me one.

RKL

Even people who doesn't know me that well
still knows two things about me:
that I don't do drugs or drink alcohol and
that I've aways dated this same girl for like 8 years.

Last year one of this statements became false and no:
I am not a crackhead in rehab now.
The girl dumped me and the reason why she did (one of many at least) was my reaction to this video. Why did she have to believe me for once?

It still makes me wanna do LSD, but the real one, the 70s one.
(not really, but in case she reads this, I'd want her to think she was right)

Any similarities with the previous entry...

...are purely magical.

Gimme the bird

Today I wanna be there
with my future children
and figure out the shapes
as if with funny clouds

Genius or just great?

I feel like being talkative and honest is - instead of super annoying - super cool and sometimes, genius.
I really like people who speak their minds out non stop, smart and trash. Listening to them babble feels to me like treasure hunting: it makes me focus on each and every non-sense, hoping to hopefully spot something absolutely groundbreaking ...or just great.
This is probably one of the best examples I can think of right now, it's not only a memorable audiovisual statement but also one of my favorite videos of all times.
Thanks Roman!

God Almighty, biiiiaaatch...

I've been raised by an atheist family, or perhaps parents that fell out of love for their god at some point. I may ask them one day about the whole ordeal now...
Anyways, the thing is that this never made me not care about other people's gods or ever disrespected them, I just looked at them like a fascinating social phenomenon.
Human history gives me enough reasons to rant about religion but it ain't my point at all; I've even gotten to read the Bible, many passages from the Coran and even some lose buddhist texts. And I strongly believe all those best-sellers should definitely at least be considered and respected as such by all atheists and agnostics out there: great books with undeniable hooks.

But now I know if ever anyone gets to push its god into my heart (or soul or wherever it supposedly lodges), I think that person would've to look and sound something like this:

How to write songs

For years I've tried to understand what my mother felt
when she first listened to Bob Dylan.
She'd always tell me how much of a genius he is, and I
gotta admit I was seriously into Michael Jackson back
then, almost moonwalking and all...
So I had to give this man a chance and I wasn't let down.
I still love him today (same with the King of Pop though)

Today I came across a video that I feel sums up everything my Mom must have felt that day; and I wanna share it with you:

Boards of Canada

Amazing video to watch on a BIG screen
in a hot friday night party in Buenos Aires...
Totally inspiring and trippy and beautiful, time to fall again now.

Control freak

It is crazy how we sometimes wanna take care of stuff that's beyond us
and should stay there for the sake of Humanity's comfort.
At some point in our lives, we all try that. We give Godness a chance.

I'm not trying to make any religious statement of any sorts, this is beyond conventions, this is about control.
Back in 1940, some people was taking "control over the uncontrolable" very seriously. And I guess they sort of pulled it off...
Kinda scary to think of where we're at today if almost 70 years ago this stuff was taking place.

Gives me chills but I wanna know

High Times in China

Maybe a little smiling here and there?
Yeah, I think everyone's taking each other too seriously these days.
So for those who think China ain't that fun anymore, go figure...

Some brilliant quotes, copyright free for public use:

"Oh, let's just take a call from his Mom first... naughtyyyyy!"

"weeee're landin' on youur grrrapes, weeee're landin' on youur grrrapes"

"...stuck in a treeeee..."

"What did he say?"
"I have no idea, but I'm gonna do what he says!"

"Uh, this guy's not happy, I think we just landed on his child"

"Millions of children!!"

Why do we need to collect?

Hello everyone or nobody,

I've always wondered why we need to gather stuff, rearrange it in shelves, jars or books and give it an order. Or is it just obsessive people who does?
I am sure it has to do with some status shit, something to feel special about, something you "own" but you'll never be able to take with you to eternity. That's why egyptians were cool cats back in the days.
Anyways, this is what I'm at again today: collecting some audiovisual online wonders this time.
Something like the "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" trick but without expecting anything in return (because it's not even my stuff after all!).
Some people might call this exhibitionism but I'm not really keen on that word though.
I'd rather you call it "The Mundane is sleeping on my sofa tonight", my first blog ever.

Hope you all enjoy it, it's made to make your life happier, easier and brighter; while my tastes become now officially collectible.
